PC and pain after intercourse

by sandersskater, Nov 04, 2008 01:41PM
I had surgery in 1996 and recurrence in 2000 and went through  seven weeks of radiation.  I have a lot pain after ejeculation but I'm unable to ejeculate I guess its like a dry heave, I'm in pain for about an hour then it will subside does this sound familiar to you?  If so, what options do I have?  Thank You.

Thank you for your question. Surgical treatment for prostate cancer produces a "dry" orgasm. There is evidence that seminal vesicle remnant following radical prostatectomy may result in intense pain during or immediately following orgasm. Some anecdotal evidence indicates that painful orgasms can be treatment with Tamsulosin.

Options should be discussed with your urologist.

Sincerely,
