day 2 of alcohol withdrawal

It has been 48 hours since my last drink. I have really bad anxiety, cant sleep, and very agitated. How long will this go on for?? When will I feel better.?

hi. alcohol withdrawal duration is dependent on several things, mostly how much you drank and how often. things that will help the symptoms include proper nutrition, plenty of fluids and checking out aa near you. a physician could give you a more detailed course of action depending on your situation as this varies by the individual. keeping yourself busy now and in the next several days may also be helpful.  best of luck, gm

Withdrawl is a serious thing you sould have a physisian look you over you can go into seziures etc. Best of luck j

eat plenty of sweet stuff.  Take a bath.  

The reason why you have the anxiety attacks is because the alcohol attacks the central nervous system.   Call AA and ask someones advice just speaking to someone on the phone whose been where you are can alleviate mental anxiety.   We've all been there mate. Done what you've done and walked the walk before.

ıf you dont pick up the first drink you wont get drunk.
