PAIN MEDS?

IVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH COLITIS AND  I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A WEEK THEY SENT ME HOME ON  VICODEN BUT THIS DOESNT EVEN BEGIN TO RELIEVE THE PAIN IM CONSTANTLY IN IS THERE ANYTHING THEY CAN GIVE U THAT MIGHT BE A LIL STRONGER  AND HELP BETTER WITH OUT MAKING ME SEEM LIKE AN ADDICT LOOKING FOR  DRUGS? IT MAKES MY DAY UNBEARABLE?

Back when I had UC (I had J-Pouch surgery 15 years ago) I never got anything more powerful than Tylenol 3.  What you may want to ask your doctor for is an anti-spasmodic.  The spasms are what cause a lot of the pain and if they can eliminate those you will feel so much better.

I use codeine phosphate in the early morning - I have Crohn's - and it does help with the painful spasms. Another drug that may help is Triptafen.
