One day period and unprotected sex

by Haugen09, Nov 05, 2008 12:48PM
Okay I had sex when I was ovulating and got scared when the man I was with cam in me so I douched a couple minutes after we got done having sex. I just got my period yesturday Tuesday and now today Wednesday there is hardly any blood and some cramps. Should I be worried about being pregnant or should I just go on and see if I get my period again soon?

Hi!
I would definitely recommend doing a test.  Douching is not a very effective birth control because those darn swimmers (sperm) can get where they're going within 3 seconds!
Douching will help to wash out some of the residual, but the ones you need to worry about are already long gone!

Do a test, then get in to your doctor for some better birth control!

By the way, have you heard of Plan B? That is a prescription that you can get from Planned Parenthood or your local emergency room for exactly the situation you just described.  Its very easy--only 4 pills--and no baby! Its also called the morning after pill.
You can take it up to 72 hours after the fact.

Good luck!

Okay I had sex again but the day after my ovulation day and have not done anything about it. Is there a possiblity that I could be pregnant? But I am also having some cramps today. When I had sex was on Friday and today is now Monday.
