Loose BM

by Jo1968, Nov 05, 2008 01:59PM
My son has always had loose bm's.  He was breast feed until 10 months and then had a cow-milk based formula through 13 months.  Up until that time his bm's seemed normal for that age but even his daycare providers have noticed that his are unusual compared to the other children his age.  His father has Celiac disease and possibly this is the cause.  He isn't given much juice daily but loves fruit, which we limit.  His poor bottom gets so sore at times.  He is getting teeth and that too could be the reason but he has never had a firm bm and his older sister eats about the same foods and has very firm bms.  We see his pediatrician later this month and will bring it up but maybe you have some suggestions?

Suggest you have his doctor test him for Celiac disease, due to his father having it, and lactose intolerant (unable to tolerate milk sugar). These conditions result in loose stools when you consume the foods the body cannot tolerate.
