Newely Married New to sex

My husband and I have never had to worry about STD's or anything along those lines b/c we are new to sex. We have only been married a couple weeks but we have both developed bumps and redness, it is itchy and his penis is dry and flaky. Although I knew it wasn't a STD I did get checked and my tests are fine. We want to enjoy sex as a couple and this is seriously effecting it. It stings when we have sex and I don't know what to do. I was thinking about doucheing to clean it out but have heard negative things about it. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello.
There are many possible causes of your irritation or dry skin. The most common is that you aren’t wet enough. This is a reminder to only have sex when YOU'RE ready. Be sure that: 1) you’re turned on when your partner enters you and 2) you’re lubricated. If you ARE turned on, but are still dry, there are several excellent lubricants available. Some women also experience pain f they engage in penis-vagina sex for too long or if the thrusting is too hard or vigorous. If none of these is the case, other possible causes are various infections, certain medications, hormonal imbalance, perfumed soaps which can irritate tissue and urinary tract infections.
Never, EVER ******! Commercial douches contain alcohol/perfumes which can further irritate delicate vaginal tissue.
If none of the above works for you, it’s a good idea to see your gynecologist or your husband to see a urologist for a check-up to find out what's contributing to your condition. Dr. J

This can be the result from either one of you having used antibiotics.
If your husband is uncircumcised , than he could pass the infection to you as well as you passing it back to you. Don't tell your husband to get circumsised if he isn't.
Try to obtain an over the counter ointment like Canastan and have both of you use it. You could also use the form that you could insert into the vagina. Your husband would need to use the ointment. He needs to make sure to cover as much of the penis as possible. Try it for a week and see if symptoms inprove. If not then see your doctor.
