LOWER LEFT ABDOMINAL PAIN

by marykay129, Nov 05, 2008 07:24PM
MY SON HAS HAD LEFT LOWER ABDOMINAL PAIN FOR 1 1/2 YRS. AND HAS HAD ALL THE GI TESTS, HE NOW FEELS THAT THE PAIN COMES ON WITH HEAVY LIFTING, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THIS COULD BE? I'M HOPING FOR A LAPROSCOPE REAL SOON BUT THE DOCTORS DON'T LIKE TO DO THAT, I THINK THIS IS REASON ENOUGH TO DO THIS.

has your son seen a doctor to rule out a hernia?  it should be very easy to tell from an external exam.  exploratory laparoscopic surgery is not a good idea until other tests have been ruled out.
