Is My Bronchitis Contagious?

Hi,
So I went to the doctors today and I found out that I have bronchitis. I assume that the cough that I have would be contagious..But let's say I give someone my cough.. Does that mean I give them bronchitis? Or do I just give them the cough that could turn into bronchitis?
