Numbness in Feet

by Zerotrek, Nov 06, 2008 06:18PM
I had Lyme disease about 4 months ago. I felt fine after taking antibiotics for 4 weeks. Last week I went to bed and woke up with numbness in the balls of both my feet. I am not sure this is related to Lyme, but I wanted to inquire here if anyone has had similar experiences. About a month prior I felt a little dizzy and seemed to be tired much quicker, all out of nowhere. The dizzyness and tired feeling seems to have subsided a bit or I am more use to them because they don't seem to bother me, but the numbness has me very nervous. Any ideas?

I'm no doctor, but I found that B12 helps with my dizziness and fatigue.

I take 1000 mgs a day. I know it's a lot, so check with your doctor before trying if you want to try it. Worth a shot if you get the go ahead -- cheap and no prescription required.

I am getting ready to try B6 too as that helps one's neorological function too.

All the best

I had same problem, but during treatment, came up as a new symptom.  It has subsided but I am almost done with my second month of antibiotics.  My doctor said some symptoms will be slow to subside and will go away in time.  If this is a new symptom however, I would see about getting a little more treatment just to be safe.  Another month would not hurt.  My doctor has me on two months of treament with a follow up one month after antibiotics to see if things are still good.  He had a daughter with lyme, so he is well aware it needs to be watched to make sure the antibiotics did there job!

Yes I've had the foot numbness.  Mine was related to lyme.

I would check with your doctor regarding the B 6.  I had toxic levels of it.
